As required by New York State Village Law (section 7-710 ) the village appointed a seven member Zoning Commission to review current zoning as it applies to the new village. Afterwards these seven members will make a preliminary report and hold one or more public hearings. After these public hearings the Zoning Commission will submit their final report to the village board. The village board will then have their own public hearing regarding the zoning for the village. Upon adoption of a resolution by the board of trustees of the village accepting the final report, the Zoning Commission shall cease to exist as a separate body. The village board will then staff a Planning Board and a Zoning Board of Appeals.
